Hopewell Township, NJ. -- The First Annual Mercer Mountain Bike Festival was held on an unseasonably warm but overcast Halloween day at Belle Mountain in Hopewell Township, NJ.

A large number of fans and families turned out in support of the Mercer Mountain Bike Festival and to watch the racers on the dual slalom course made even more challenging due to rain throughout event week.

Mika Ryan, President of the Mercer County Sports & Entertainment Commission as a first time competitor in the Women's category "The Mercer County Sports and Entertainment Commission was proud to be a supporter of the Mercer Mountain Bike Festival. It offered something for all the mountain bike athletes as well as the spectators in attendance. Thanks to the Mercer County Park Commission, Knapp's Cyclery, Greg's Landscaping and G4 Productions for their dedication to developing a competitive course while maintaining the pristine beauty of Belle Mountain. We are already looking forward to next year." says Mika.

Event Organizer, Pete Garnich "The Festival exceeded our expectations and we are in the process of selecting a date with the possibility of expanding to a multi-day format in 2010."
